Navigating Life's Challenges With Confidence.
Life can present us with challenges that seem insurmountable at times, especially when past trauma gets in the way. We can find ourselves trapped in recurring patterns of behavior that no longer serve us, which can hinder our ability to move forward. At Rocky Mountain Reflections, I specialize in helping you get to the root of what's causing your difficuties through assessment and insight, as well as providing support, encouraging and empowering you while you navigate difficult times and reorient yourself towards personal growth and positive change. Together, we can explore new perspectives and strategies, fostering a path to a more fulfilling and balanced life.
Why Online?
Many of the challenges that lead us to seek professional help can be crippling. Leaving the house can feel unbearable at times when we're dealing with anxiety, depression, CPTSD after abuse, or even just grieving the loss of a loved one, be it through death or broken relationship. The fear or annoyance of running into people on your way to or from an appointment can be enough cause for cancelling or discontinuing therapy, especially if you live in a small community where there's a high probability that you'll run into someone you know. In additional to all of this, offering counselling services online means that I can serve and provide affordable counselling to a larger region. Please contact us with any questions regarding the benefits or risks of online counselling.
What Does the Counselling Process Look Like?
Here's What To Expect.
My style of therapy is person-centered, holistic and goal oriented. Understanding the journey to well-being is unique for everyone, it is important to build a trusting therapuetic alliance with clients that is egalitarian and collaborative in nature. It's your therapy, so you get to decide what to work on and how to utilize it. We conduct a "lifestyle assessment" through conversation, offer insights, examine perspectives, support and encourage you during your reorientation toward meeting your goals. I am dedicated to guiding you through your challenges to find your own path to peace and resilience. Choosing to work with me means prioritizing your journey toward becoming your best self.
Meet Stacie
Your Healing and Growth Facilitator.
Hello! My name is Stacie Johnson. I have a strong sense of empathy and duty to advocate, and have found my passion in the helping professions. I am a Registered Professional Clinical Counsellor - Candidate (RPC-C) with the Canadian Professional Counsellor's Association (CPCA). I hold a Diploma in Applied Psychology and Counselling from the Kelowna College of Professional Counselling, where I recieved comprehensive training and expertise in the art of counselling therapy.
My therapuetic approach is Person Centered, with an Adlerian/Individual Psychology foundation and a Feministic Perspective. Having a feministic perspective does not mean that I won't or don't work with male clients however, it means that I recognize the impact that gender socializion, expectations and/or roles, power dynamics and oppression, have had on society historically as a whole. This includes impact on all genders! My role as a counsellor is to provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for you to explore and process your own thoughts, feelings and behaviors. While I can offer insights, you are in control of your own healing journey, so it is you who gets to decide what we work on together.
